ArHi OS:: Jab Tak Hai Jaan

ArHi OS- Jab Tak Hai Jaan

Teri aankhon ki namkeen mastiyan
Teri hansi ki beparwaah gustakhiyaan
Teri zulfon ki leharaati angdaiyaan
Nahi bhoolunga main
Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan

Arnav Singh Raizada easily caught the soft form that fell into his waiting arms. Her tiny hands clung to his shoulders as his eyes drank in her flawless beauty. Her large doe-shaped eyes were clouded with confusion and fear but he could see the depth of her innocence. The silky soft skin of her cheeks, the cute button nose and those pouty pink lips grasped for his attention. Her hair was pulled away from her face and partially covered with a golden dupatta yet he noticed the glossy mass as the breeze danced through a few loose tendrils.

The unexpected rush of desire and sudden lack of control angered him and he hastily pushed her out of his arms causing her to crash into the side of the ramp. She turned back to look at him, the hazel orbs captivating him once again. Desperate to distract himself he signaled his security to take this unknown beauty away. Even though his anger was evident on his visage, instilling fear in hers, the turmoil of unnamed emotions stormed his mind and the area in his chest where his frozen heart rested throbbed uncomfortably.

As she was pulled away, she looked back at him one more time and at that precise moment he knew that he would not forget as long as he lived.

Tera haath se haath chhodna
Tera saayon se rukh modna
Tera palat ke phir na dekhna
Nahin maaf karunga main

Yes it was true that they annoyed the hell out of each other, they angered each other, and they even hated each other. But that was all in the past. They had finally moved ahead of all that and proceeded to graciously endure each other's presence. He had just begun to share a civil relation with her then why did she have to pull away once again.

She had just broken the news.

She was engaged. To someone else.

She was getting married. She was becoming someone else's.

How could she?

Just when he had started to accept her, to see her for who she was, she had to move away? How could she just leave like that? How could she just walk away? Was it that simple? What would he do now?

She had always supported him. No matter how much they fought or argued, when it mattered the most she had been his support. She had always stood by his side. Always been his rock. So what changed this time? Why was she walking away? Why was she leaving him? Why?

Arnav stood paralyzed in a painful, bemused daze and silently watched Khushi walk out the door and probably out of his life without a single backward glance and at that precise moment he knew that he would not forgive as long as he lived.

Baarishon mein bedhadak tere naachne se
Baat baat pe bewajah tere roothne se
Chhoti chhoti teri bachkani badmashiyon se
Mohabbat karunga main
Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan..

Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada. He loved the sound of that. It filled him with an immense sense of pride and affection.

He knew she was mad at him about his bringing up the whole 6 months contract thing and hurting her in the process, but he planned to rectify that soon. He would make her accept the fact that she was his and would remain so by hook or by crook. He was her husband and she would have no choice but to accept that.

By now he'd tried almost everything from trying to make her birthday special, unsuccessfully, to having his Nani make her favorite breakfast, which she skipped to his utter disappointment. He had even attempted to let her relive all the hot and cold moments they had shared in the past, like hiding in his closet and throwing cups of beverage at each other's face yet all to no avail. Although so far all his attempts had been unsuccessful he wasn't dissuaded just yet.

For now he simply cherished all the traits he adored in his wife. Her adorably uncoordinated Salman Khan dance moves. Her erratic temper and the feisty reactions when provoked. Her innocent, childlike actions while taking pleasure in eating jalebis or gol gappes.

As Arnav's thoughts revolved around Khushi, she barged into his room like the whirlwind that she was with a plate of jalebis in her hands, already stuffing her face with the sticky sweets and muttering to herself. He couldn't keep the smile of his face as he observed her crazy antics. As soon as she noticed him she came to an abrupt stop, her eyes comically wide before she quickly composed herself. With a quiet grumble of what sounded like 'Laad Governor' she turned back and walked out the door shooting him a fiery glare and at that precise moment he knew that he would always love as long as he lived.

He admits he had made a mistake. A big mistake. It was wrong of him to leave her waiting in the mandap on their wedding day. But who could blame him? He had just learned of a secret that had haunted his entire existence. Of course he needed time to recover. Time to think.

He hadn't shown up on their wedding day. He had left her waiting.

He had broken her trust. Shattered her faith. Crushed her heart.

But he had realized his mistake and he had apologized to her. Asked for forgiveness. Begged for it.

He wanted her back. So why did she resist? She was his life. His wife. So why did she refuse?

Khushi mujhse vaada karo ki mujhe kabhi chor kar nahi jaogi.

She had promised. Then why was she forgetting her promise?

Mein tumhari bina nahi jee paunga.

She knew he wouldn't be able to live without her. Then why didn't she care anymore. Why?

Arnav stood before her yet again, pleading for her to forgive him. He loved her. He couldn't let her go. Not again. Not ever.

But Khushi no longer seemed to feel anything anymore. Her face blank and her eyes hollow, she turned her back to him and dispassionately walked away from him, turning only to shut the door on his face. Catching one last glimpse of her detached features he finally acceded he had lost her and at that precise moment he knew that he would hate as long as he lived.

But for a change it wasn't her. It was him.
