Khushi huffed in annoyance and tossed her cell onto the bed.

Trying to distract her wayward brain from the disturbing images flooding her mind she raced to the lounge where the rest of the family members were bustling about.

She walked to the kitchen, where she could here Anjali.

"Hari Prakash ji, make sure to leave candles and a flashlight in every room." Anjali ordered, while she and Payal stocked the cabinets with food and water bottles.

Since yesterday, announcements were being made about a hurricane that was about to hit, warning everyone to prepare for the worst. Schools were closed, offices were shut down yet her own workaholic husband had run off to a meeting leaving her at home to worry.

"Di, have you spoken to Arnavji?" Khushi inquired trying to keep her anxiety disguised behind her strained smile.

"Haan, Khushiji. Chote called an hour ago. He said your phone was switched off so he couldn't reach you. He's done with the meeting but I told him to stay in the office with Aman till the storm passes. It's too dangerous to go out now."

"Oh!" Arnavji wasn't coming home?!

Well Di was right, it was too dangerous to try and come home.

But she had wanted him here when the storm hit. It would have kept her at peace if she had Arnavji with her. She couldn't even speak to him because the signal was too weak and hence his phone wasn't working.

She sighed defeatedly, knowing it was best he didn't try coming home.

Trying to keep herself distracted, she busied herself helping Akash find sufficient amount of necessary supplies for everyone.

Once everything was done and dinner was completed everyone retired to their bedrooms hoping the hurricane would pass quickly and smoothly without disturbing them.

Khushi walked into her empty bedroom suddenly feeling lonely.

She simply grabbed her pajamas and went off to prepare for bed.

Coming out of the bathroom, she picked up her cell in hopes of reaching her husband only to have it go straight to voicemail.

Disappointed and tensed, Khushi quietly climbed into bed and curled up.

She could hear the rain pelting against the closed poolside door and the heavy winds whistling an eerie melody.

It was strangely thrilling yet frightening.

Tossing and turning, she couldn't manage to calm her anxiety enough to sleep.

Just then the electricity went out and the bedside lamp she had kept on flickered out with a zap.

She felt her heart jump up to the back of her throat and she quickly reached for the flashlight.

The winds seemed to pick up speed as it roughly crashed against the door causing the frame of their bedroom to shake slightly.

Fear engulfed her and she quickly raced to her dresser, grabbing the candles and matches. Lighting them all up she tried to brighten the room as much as possible.

Once that was done she curled back up into bed, silently praying to her Devi Maiyya, wishing her Arnavji was with her.

So caught up was she in attempting to keep her fears at bay, she was unaware of her surroundings until she felt an arm snake around her waist.

Startled, she shrieked trying to move away.

"Shh Khushi, relax its me!" A deep, husky voice breathed into her ear.

"Arnavji!" She gasped out and without even looking at him she leaped straight into his lap, tightly wrapping her arms around his warm neck!

Khushi heard him chuckle into her hair before he turned his head slightly, placing a soft kiss on the shell of her ear.

"You okay, honey?" He asked, pulling back to cradle her face in his hands.

Relief washed thru her in heavy torrents and she couldn't stop a few errant tears that escaped her eyes.

"Khushi?" Concern laced his tone.

She immediately shook her head in assurance as she quickly swiped the back of her hand across her cheeks.

"How did you come home Arnavji? Di told me you'd stay back at the office?" She immediately inquired.

He smiled that heart stopping smile. Pulling her closer so that she sat straddling him, he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist while her hands were tucked between their chests.

The incessant rains and rough winds continued outside but Khushi barely paid it any attention. She simply absorbed the feel of the man she was wrapped around at the moment.

"Well.." He started, tightening one arm around her torso while his other hand traced invisible patterns on the side of her neck. "I was missing my wife. She's scared of the dark and she hates storms, you know, so I didn't want her to be alone." There was a teasing glint in his eyes.

Khushi couldn't help the wide smile that spread across her face as she hugged Arnav to herself, grateful that he was safely in her arms!

"I love you Arnavji" She whispered into his ear, nipping it before moving back to face him.

Flipping them around on the bed so that Khushi was flat on her back, Arnav lay over her smirking.

"I love you too sweetheart." He whispered back before closing the gap between them.

Outside the storm continued to rage on as the strong gusts of wind carried away a song of two lovers.

ArHi OS:: Raptured Hues

Khushi and Payal had just returned to Shantivan after spending the entire morning outside. They both were just entering thru the door when Hari Prakash approached them and informed the two sisters that their husbands had returned from their business trip.

"They're back early!" Payal exclaimed.

"Khushi bhabi, please go in quickly!" HP requested anxiously.

"What happened, Hari Prakash ji? Why are you so tense?" Khushi wondered what could be freaking him out.

He fumbled for a minute before replying. "Actually Arnav bhaiya has been yelling at everyone ever since he returned and found out you aren't home."

"Of course" Khushi muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes at her husband's temper. 'The Laad Governor must have raised the dead by now' she thought to herself before rushing into the living room.

Nani and Anjali were sitting on the couch with expression of annoyance and worry, respectively, while Mami ji lounged nearby with her nose buried in a magazine.

Anjali spotted them and sighed in relief. "Khushi ji thank god you're back. We just managed to calm Chotte down and send him upstairs. He was already angry when he heard you weren't home and he absolutely freaked out when I told him where you went. It took me forever to convince him to not go after you."

Khushi huffed in annoyance at all the havoc he had been creating for no reason. "Don't worry Di, I'll take care of it from here."

She was just about to head towards the stairs when Payal stopped her. "Go tell him! And I'll tell everyone else so you don't have to worry about breaking the news to anyone besides Arnav ji."

She quickly nodded and rushed upstairs right after engulfing her lovely sister in a brief tight hug. She opened the door, her eyes scanning their room till she finally spotted her husband who was furiously pacing back and forth near the poolside and barking into his Bluetooth.

She closed the door behind her and leaned against it, silently observing her husband's strong male form. She took in all that she had missed the last few days - his powerful strides, his controlling aura, his handsome features, his possessive posture.

He suddenly stopped his maddening pacing and whipped his head in her direction, as if sensing her presence all of a sudden. She straighten as he briskly strode towards her, desire, annoyance, passion, worry all evident in his eyes.

"Where the hell were you Khushi?" Arnav glared down at her. "I finally come home early after 3 days of being away from my wife only to find that she isn't even home!"

"Aww, did you miss me?" Khushi teased, trying to fight the grin threatening to grace her lips.

He instantly grabbed her and crushed her body to his, meshing his lips onto hers in a mind numbing kiss, his hands roaming over every inch of her.

Khushi gasped at the sudden contact she had been craving for days before letting out a throaty moan. She had missed the possessive feel of his soft lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck, digging her fingers into his hair effectively pulling him even closer.

She lightly traced the tip of her tongue along the seams of his lips, urging them open. She felt him smirk before pulling away to look at her. Her face immediately slipped into a pout.

She grabbed his tie and pulled him closer till the tips of their noses were touching. "I wasn't done," she grumbled before pressing her mouth onto his, once again trying to crank up the heat.

She could feel him grinning against her lips. He lazily wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her leisurely, all his urgency and need that had been present only minutes ago was now gone. He still didn't allow her to taste him, making her anxiety rise.

"Arnavv.." she moaned.

He ignored her and ducked his head down to her neck, peppering light kisses along her collarbone.

"Did you miss me?" he murmured against her heated skin, tracing his lips along her jaw and up her cheek.

She didn't answer. Instead she tugged at his head trying to pull him back to her. "Please Arnav!"

Finally relenting to her pleading he leaned in to grant her wish. He had been craving for her for the past 3 days - the 3 longest days he had to survive! He hadn't been able to manage staying away any longer.

Finally when they pulled away because of the dire need of oxygen and managed to calm their hormones down, Arnav led Khushi out near the pool, sitting on the lounger before pulling her onto his lap. She snuggled up against his chest and the two basked in the peaceful afternoon sun.

After a few moments of enjoying the peaceful calmness that engulfed them, Khushi finally spoke up, not being able to keep quiet for too long.

"So how was your meeting?" She asked turning to her side so she could look at him.

"It was ok. We got the deal but I hated staying away from you." He tightened his arms around her as he spoke.

Khushi smiled at her husband's heartwarming confession. "I have a surprise for you!"

Arnav looked at her curiously, quirking one eyebrow in wonder of what she was up to.

She simply smiled and got to her feet. Standing before him she spoke, "So did Di tell you where I was today?"

"Oh yeah! Khushi, are you okay?" He quickly stood up, worry and subtle panic evident in his liquid brown eyes. Cupping her cheek, he pulled her close. "Why were you at the doctor's? What's wrong?"

She smiled softly, his love and concern warming her heart. Turning her face into his hand she placed a soft kiss in the middle of his palm.

"I have something to tell you. Sit down." She gently pushed him down onto the chair so he was seated before her once again.

"What is it jaan?" Anxiety colored his tone as he reached for her once again, wrapping his arm around her waist.

"I have a gift for you Arnav!" Her eyes sparkled with excitement while Arnav just became even more confused.

She ignored his questioning gaze and continued, "Well I'm sorry I won't be able to wrap it up for you and you'll have to wait some time before you can get it!" Khushi barely managed to suppress her giggles as Arnav's face became comically bemused.

"Nine months to be exact." She finally dropped the last hint, carefully watching Arnav's reaction.

"What the!" Reflexively he gasped out his trademark statement, making Khushi burst into peals of laughter.

As realization dawned on him the confusion drained from his visage replaced by disbelief and delight. His awed gaze travelled down from her eyes to her still flat stomach. He speechlessly stared in wonder for a moment before looking back at her with barely repressed ecstasy, waiting for her confirmation.

When she nodded, joyful tears swimming in her eyes, he jumped to his feet with a whoop of glee before crushing Khushi against his chest. So great was his enthusiasm he wrapped his arms tightly around his beloved wife lifting her off her feet and twirling her right there on the poolside.

Khushi's tinkling laughter and Arnav's joyous shouts were like music that carried itself to the ears of the rest of the family in the lounge, effectively placing smiles of content on all their faces.

Anjali sighed happily. "Chotte's chotte!" She laughed as Payal, Nani and Mami all joined in, a raptured hue of celebration settling over Shantivan.

"The husband who decides to surprise his wife is often very much surprised himself."

Arnav Singh Raizada easily caught the soft form that fell into his waiting arms. Her tiny hands clung to his shoulders as his eyes drank in her flawless beauty. Her large doe-shaped eyes were clouded with confusion and fear but he could see the depth of her innocence. The silky soft skin of her cheeks, the cute button nose and those pouty pink lips grasped for his attention. Her hair was pulled away from her face and partially covered with a golden dupatta yet he noticed the glossy mass as the breeze danced through a few loose tendrils.

The unexpected rush of desire and sudden lack of control angered him and he hastily pushed her out of his arms causing her to crash into the side of the ramp. She turned back to look at him, the hazel orbs captivating him once again. Desperate to distract himself he signaled his security to take this unknown beauty away. Even though his anger was evident on his visage, instilling fear in hers, the turmoil of unnamed emotions stormed his mind and the area in his chest where his frozen heart rested throbbed uncomfortably.

As she was pulled away, she looked back at him one more time and at that precise moment he knew that he would not forget as long as he lived.

Yes it was true that they annoyed the hell out of each other, they angered each other, and they even hated each other. But that was all in the past. They had finally moved ahead of all that and proceeded to graciously endure each other's presence. He had just begun to share a civil relation with her then why did she have to pull away once again.

She had just broken the news.

She was engaged. To someone else.

She was getting married. She was becoming someone else's.

How could she?

Just when he had started to accept her, to see her for who she was, she had to move away? How could she just leave like that? How could she just walk away? Was it that simple? What would he do now?

She had always supported him. No matter how much they fought or argued, when it mattered the most she had been his support. She had always stood by his side. Always been his rock. So what changed this time? Why was she walking away? Why was she leaving him? Why?

Arnav stood paralyzed in a painful, bemused daze and silently watched Khushi walk out the door and probably out of his life without a single backward glance and at that precise moment he knew that he would not forgive as long as he lived.

Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada. He loved the sound of that. It filled him with an immense sense of pride and affection.

He knew she was mad at him about his bringing up the whole 6 months contract thing and hurting her in the process, but he planned to rectify that soon. He would make her accept the fact that she was his and would remain so by hook or by crook. He was her husband and she would have no choice but to accept that.

By now he'd tried almost everything from trying to make her birthday special, unsuccessfully, to having his Nani make her favorite breakfast, which she skipped to his utter disappointment. He had even attempted to let her relive all the hot and cold moments they had shared in the past, like hiding in his closet and throwing cups of beverage at each other's face yet all to no avail. Although so far all his attempts had been unsuccessful he wasn't dissuaded just yet.

For now he simply cherished all the traits he adored in his wife. Her adorably uncoordinated Salman Khan dance moves. Her erratic temper and the feisty reactions when provoked. Her innocent, childlike actions while taking pleasure in eating jalebis or gol gappes.

As Arnav's thoughts revolved around Khushi, she barged into his room like the whirlwind that she was with a plate of jalebis in her hands, already stuffing her face with the sticky sweets and muttering to herself. He couldn't keep the smile of his face as he observed her crazy antics. As soon as she noticed him she came to an abrupt stop, her eyes comically wide before she quickly composed herself. With a quiet grumble of what sounded like 'Laad Governor' she turned back and walked out the door shooting him a fiery glare and at that precise moment he knew that he would always love as long as he lived.

He admits he had made a mistake. A big mistake. It was wrong of him to leave her waiting in the mandap on their wedding day. But who could blame him? He had just learned of a secret that had haunted his entire existence. Of course he needed time to recover. Time to think.

He hadn't shown up on their wedding day. He had left her waiting.

He had broken her trust. Shattered her faith. Crushed her heart.

But he had realized his mistake and he had apologized to her. Asked for forgiveness. Begged for it.

He wanted her back. So why did she resist? She was his life. His wife. So why did she refuse?

Khushi mujhse vaada karo ki mujhe kabhi chor kar nahi jaogi.

She had promised. Then why was she forgetting her promise?

Mein tumhari bina nahi jee paunga.

She knew he wouldn't be able to live without her. Then why didn't she care anymore. Why?

Arnav stood before her yet again, pleading for her to forgive him. He loved her. He couldn't let her go. Not again. Not ever.

But Khushi no longer seemed to feel anything anymore. Her face blank and her eyes hollow, she turned her back to him and dispassionately walked away from him, turning only to shut the door on his face. Catching one last glimpse of her detached features he finally acceded he had lost her and at that precise moment he knew that he would hate as long as he lived.

But for a change it wasn't her. It was him.

Lyin' here with you so close to me
It's hard to fight these feelings when it feels so hard to breathe
Caught up in this moment
Caught up in your smile

Khushi sat on her side of the bed, her back resting against the headboard as she silently drank in the serene image of her husband beside her.

Her eyes trailed from his smooth forehead to his strong aristocratic nose to his smooth hard lips and the shapely jut of his stubbled chin.

She finally looked into his eyes, saving the best for last. The soft molten coffee brown captivating her into a pool of want.

She loved his eyes. They were a window to his soul. No matter what he said or did, his eyes always told her the truth. They couldn't lie to her. No matter how much he hurt her, his eyes would always immediately apologize to her.

Khushi loved this man lying beside her. Her husband. Without a doubt. The shelter and warmth that she felt in his arms never existed before he came along. The rapid, frenzied beating of her heart while in his proximity never made anticipation bubble deep in her stomach unless he was involved. The singing breeze and dancing stars never existed for her till he came along.

Arnav stared back at her, reading the desire in her eyes. His lips curled up into a slow smile, now exhibiting that sexy half smirk, half smile.

Khushi felt her breath catch. That smile managed to trap her. Not like a caged animal, but like a sheltered little bird that knew she was safe and cared for.

She was caught. Caught in the moment. Caught in that smile. Caught in their love.

I've never opened up to anyone

Arnav lay on his side of the bed with his one arm tucked under his head, and stared up into her clear hazel eyes that told him the secrets that her pretty pink lips refused to disclose.

Arnav Singh Raizada had been a self made man. He wrote his own kismat and the kismat of the people in his life. Or atleast that's what he had believed until the chaotic force named Khushi Kumari Gupta, now Singh Raizada, had stepped into his life.

He thought back to that eventful night at Sheesh Mahel when she had fallen straight into his arms, a unwanted but much needed fallen angel. If someone had told him then that she would become the center of his universe he would surely have laughed in their face.

But it had happened. Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada had made him fall head over heels. She had managed to make Arnav reemerge from the pits that ASR had buried him in. She had managed to make him feel again. Make him trust again. Make him love again.

She had done what no one else had bothered to even try. She had made him open up. She had made it impossible for him to hold back, especially from her.

Just a kiss on your lips in the moonlight

Just a touch of the fire burning so bright

No I don't want to mess this thing up

I don't want to push too far

Just a shot in the dark that you just might

Be the one I've been waiting for my whole life

So baby I'm alright, with just a kiss goodnight

They lay beside each other in a silence that screamed louder than any words. A silence that murmured of a companionship. A silence that whispered of a faith. A silence that hummed of a compassion. A silence that bellowed out a rare love.

Basked within their own sea of adoration and passion, the two lovers quietly cherished this stolen moment as if it were their last.

Right now neither of them needed any affirmation of commitment or any promises of a forever. They didn't need any soft caresses or any stolen kisses. All they needed was a presence. A presence of the one they loved.

That night, through the open poolside door, the full moon, the twinkling stars and the gentle flowing breeze all silently witnessed the pure raw love shared between the two flawed beings, bathed in the soft moonlight, laying beside each other.

***

I know that if we give this a little time

It'll only bring us closer to the love we wanna find

It's never felt so real, no it's never felt so right

Gently, Arnav reached up to run the back of his hand lightly across her smooth silky cheek. He watched in quiet tenderness as she closed her eyes, unconsciously leaning into his touch.

Running the pads of his fingers down her creamy neck he reached down and entwined her fingers with his. He clasped her hand tightly, not wanting to let go.

He had this nagging feeling that if he let go, even for a second, then she would be snatched away from him. But he pushed the distasteful hunch away, focusing on the present moment.

She was here, with him, and that was all that mattered.

He had adamently fought his Dadi till she had no choice but to yield and make peace with Khushi.

He had relentlessly fought Khushi till she succumbed to her feelings, accepting their love.

He had tirelessly fought against time even, trying to convince her to stay and now as the clock showed another 15 minutes remained till their six months ended he did not feel any fear because she was here. With him.

Finally, he had won. He had emerged victorious from battle, and the prize lay before his eyes. His wife. His Khushi.

Hungrily, he memorized each minute detail of her silky soft features until his mind blurred and fatigue took over, her fingers still entwined with his.

Khushi blinked back the sudden tears that threatened to spill over. The raw affection and sharp yearning that she had seen in Arnav's eyes before he succumbed to sleep unnerved her. She felt valued and desired yet at the same time it left her feeling weak and exposed. It made everything that much more difficult for her.

She knew what she had to do, for his happiness and his family's happiness. Her Arnavji had begun to believe that they belonged together but for once ASR was wrong.

He was Arnav Singh Raizada, the hot shot businessman while she was simply Khushi Kumari Gupta, the halwai's adopted daughter. Dadi ji was right, she didn't even know who her parents were so how could she consider herself fit to be a Raizada bahu? She was a homewrecker, responsible for Shyam's actions, responsible for Di's ruined life, responsible for the unborn child being fatherless.

And now, for Dadi ji's happiness, for Di's happiness and in the long shot for Arnav ji's happiness she would do something that would shatter her soul. But if it brought her loved ones happiness then so be it.

Arnav ji deserved better and he couldn't get that till she got out of the way. But no worries, it would be done. Tonight.

The clock struck midnight, marking the end of their six month marriage contract. Khushi wiped away the lone tear that slid down her cheek and quietly untangled her fingers from his strong grip. At first he resisted, but eventually she was able to pull free.

Silently climbing out of the bed she made her way to the poolside, where she had hidden her packed suitcase. Bringing it back into the room she placed it near the door before turning back and scanning her eyes across the room, checking for anything left behind. Her eyes lingered on her sleeping husband. No, not husband anymore. Just the man she loved with all her heart and soul.

She walked over to his side, unable to leave without touching him for a last time. He had been the one to always initiate the kisses between them, whether they were the soft butterfly kisses on her cheeks or the sweet goodnight kisses on her forehead. But this was their last moment together and she couldn't leave without one last touch.

She leaned in and gently placed a kiss on his forehead for the first and last time.

"Goodnight Arnav ji."

A few seconds later the late night silence was momentarily disturbed by the soft click of the door and the windchimes that announced the departure of a defeated lover before settling back into a turbulent silence.

ArHi OS:: A Kiss for A File

"Love is the irresistible desire to be desired irresistibly."

"Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, give that file back this instant!" he bellowed, chasing after his silly wife. "Khushi please I need to attend this meeting." he pleaded, still trying to grab her but she again managed to slip away.

"Nahi Arnav ji. You promised you would spend time with me today so no matter what happens that's what you will do." Khushi fired back at him before hopping onto their bed.

He made a final attempt to grab hold of her but at the very last second she jumped out of the way, making him fall onto the bed. She turned back to give him a sweet mischevious smile before bolting out the door and down the hall. He couldn't help but smile at her crazy antics. Who would have thought the hot-headed, ruthless businessman Arnav Singh Raizada had patience to not only put up with his wife's childish shenanigans but also enjoy them.

Arnav quickly climbed back onto his feet before going after Khushi. He found her sitting with Anjali in the dining room, casually chattering away. He noticed her folded hands were resting on the file that he needed to finalize an important deal. 'Urgh, next time I'll have to think a hundred times before I promise her anything. She takes them too seriously.' he quietly thought to himself, before casually walking over to the two women that pretty much dominated his life.

"Chote? You aren't going to office today?" Anjali inquired when she noticed him enter the dining room.

"Yes I am, di. As soon as Khushi stops acting like a child and returns my file I'll be leaving for a meeting." Arnav stated, watching Khushi glare at him.

Anjali turned to look at Khushi questioningly. "Bhabi?"

Khushi had quickly hidden the file under the pallu of her saree before Anjali could notice. "Di, I don't know what he's talking about." she replied innocently, giving him a quick wink before continuing her act. "Lagtha hai inko koi galat fami hui."

Before Arnav could say anything she quickly interrupted, "I'll go finish making breakfast." She jumped to her feet and quickly escaped to the kitchen making sure to keep the file hidden from view.

"Chote are you sure you didn't misplace your file?" Anjali naively asked.

Arnav shot his di an incredulous look, surprised that she had actually fallen for Khushi's excuse, before heaving a sigh and walking off to the kitchen.

He paused in the entrance watching the petite figure of his beautiful wife scamper from one end of the kitchen to the other while preparing breakfast for everyone. He quickly scanned the countertop but his file was no where in sight. 'Fine Khushi, I guess we'll have to do this MY way now.' he thought to himself while a smirk spread across his face.

He casually strolled over to her until he was standing directly behind her. She had been busy kneading dough to make rotis but instantly stiffened when she felt his presence. Before she could react Arnav slowly slid his hands around her waist, intentionally running the pads of his fingers gently along the bare smooth skin of her sides and her stomach. He tightened his hold around her waist as he stepped closer to her until her back was pressed tightly against his chest. He could hear her breathing quicken as he moved his face closer to the side of her head. Her long silky hair was tied up into a messy bun leaving the delicate creamy skin of her neck and back exposed to him, making his work all the more easier.

"Arnav ji?" Khushi whispered. "What are you doing?"

Arnav leaned into the crook of her neck and placed a light kiss making her jump in surprise. He ran his lips along her neck to the edge of her shoulder, smiling when he felt her shudder in passion.

"What do you think I'm doing Khushi?" he softly murmured against the base of her neck.

He kissed his way up her neck and nuzzled her ear, making her squirm a little. Arnav couldn't fight off a smile when he heard her gasp as he bit the tip of her ear. He loved her reactions to his every kiss and touch. He loved how she was so aware of his each and every move.

"Arnav ji...some..one...might come..." she tried to tell him but trailed off when he tightened his hold on her waist even more and peppered open mouthed kissed down her back.

She let out a soft moan when she felt his teeth lightly sink into the tenative skin of her nape.

"Arnav ji pleaseee" she hissed as she lost control over herself.

In an instant Arnav flipped her around and once again pulled her close till their chests were touching and their faces were inches apart. He gazed into her hazel orbs watching determination and desire fighting to take control, and it seemed like determination to stop him was winning. As she raised her hands to push him away he interrupted her actions.

"Wait Khushi, your hands are full of aata. Don't get it on my shirt." he warned her, smirking. From the look of her face he could tell she was realizing that no matter what he did she wouldn't be able to touch him - with her hands atleast.

"Arnav ji, someone will come in here. And I have to make breakfast, everyone's already woken up by now." Khushi began talking nonstop trying to persuade him in letting her go. He inwardly chuckled at her attempt to distract him before quickly and effectively shutting her up by tugging her closer till their noses were touching. Her innocent doe-like eyes widened in surprise before lowering in shyness. A beautiful shade of pink spread across her cheeks as she felt the potent desire pour out of just his gaze. He watched her blush and realized that he'd have to get his file back quickly and get away from her before he got distracted by her innocent beauty and delectable softness.

Khushi once again tried to free herself but to no avail. Arnav tightened his hold even more and lightly ran his fingers along the side of her jaw making her close her eyes in ecstacy. He lightly tucked away a stray strand of hair that had fallen onto her face. He loved that strand of hair. Whenever she was busy with her chores or some other work that strand of hair always managed to fall onto her face and tantalize her. She would cutely huff in annoyance and push it back. Everytime he saw this, either when she was busy making jalebis or fixing up lunch , he always got the urge to walk up to her and caress her face before kissing her senseless. And sometimes he did.

He leaned in to taste her sweet flavor but realized he was on a mission and couldn't afford to get distracted. He looked up and noticed how his crazy yet beautifully stubborn wife was anxiously waiting for him to close the remaining space between them. He softly chuckled and leaned in and kissed the corner of her mouth, letting their lips brush but not fully. He moved down to her jaw and peppered her with open mouthed kisses teasing and tantalizing her till she was squirming with passion in his arms. By now she had stopped all her worries about being caught and was just enjoying her husband's sweet torture.

"Khushi?" Arnav murmured against the base of her neck, never losing contact with her skin.

"Mmm..." Khushi sighed as she slid her arms around his neck and pulling herself closer to him.

"Where's my laptop, sweetheart?" he inquired while softly nipping her collarbone.

Khushi moaned in pleasure. "On the bedside table" she mumbled when she could think again.

"And where's my cellphone, love?" he asked while placing a lush kiss right on the base of her neck.

Khushi closed her eyes and sighed happily. "On my dresser."

"Where's my file, baby?" he questioned while running the tip of his tongue along the outer seams of her full lips.

"In the top cabinet next to the dal" she gasped out as pure desire rushed through her veins.

Arnav smiled triumphantly. He leaned in and finally kissed her full on the lips. He felt Khushi's lips curve up against his as she sighed happily and kissed him back. He pulled away after a minute and watched as her face slipped into a pout.

"Sorry baby but I have a meeting to attend and I'm already late." he winked at her and walked over to the cabinet she had mentioned and pulled out his file. He turned to see his wife's face flustered in anger and embarrassment.

"You tricked me." she ground out, fury glinting in her expressive hazel eyes.

Arnav chuckled. She was an angry kitten that thought of herself as a tigress. He pulled her close and gave her a quick kiss. "Don't worry I'll come home early and we can continue where we left off." he teased before walking off and out of the kitchen.

Arnav climbed into his car and and grinned. He was sure he'd find a tray full of jalebis when he got back home today. That is if she didn't eat all of them.
